I finally managed to pop into the centrally located Created in Birmingham Shop (#CIBshop) this week-end to check out what all the fuss was about. It's great to see Birmingham's best creative talent showcased in such a prime position and packed with interested punters.Oh and i managed to drop off a few more of the GWD postcard booklets which, i was told, have been very popular and sold out super quickly before.
#cibshop The Created in Birmingham shop stocks photography, illustration, tees, tote bags, jewellery, books and all sorts of other things that have been made locally. They will also be featuring events and collaborations – so far they are working with Flatpack Festival and are in communications with the Birmingham Royal Ballet. They are also looking to put on some demos, talks and workshops.
The shop will be open for a minimum of six weeks, after that we're not sure what will happen, but the kids at CIB seem to be very happy to have been offered the opportunity to showcase exactly what has been "Created in Birmingham" at the Bullring. In the meantime they are keen to showcase and sell the work of as many people as possible. So if your about the Birmingham region and haven't already got your wares into the CIBshop - get to it.
