Peony Passion sun bear is revealed at The Big Sleuth launch party! Tuesday 4 July 2017 saw the launch of The Big Sleuth at Egbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham, where all 100 bears were exhibited together for the very first time.
The Big Sleuth is a mass participation public art event by Wild in Art (WIA) in partnership with Birmingham Children's Hospital (BCH).
The Big Sleuth will see 100 giant sun bear sculptures (and sun bear cubs created by schools and young people) exhibited across the city of Birmingham this summer. The sun bear art trail is set to launch on 10 July 2017 when the city will become known as Bear-mingham. Then, in October the sculptures will be auctioned to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital.
It's wonderful to be part of this project, one that celebrates creativity, inspires cities and raises funds for good causes. Following the launch Peony Passion will be situated on Cathedral Square (Pigeon Park) Birmingham. Be sure to pop by and say hello.
